Crossing Lake Titicaca
I took this shot while riding the ferry across a narrow section of Lake Titicaca. In the hands of this woman are some coca leaves and a bottle of pure (96%) alcohol. She had just finished dumping some of the leaves and the alcohol into the lake. As it was very intentional, I could only presume it was a pachamama (earth mother) offering. Needless to say, people are very spiritual down here, but usually not in a good way.
